First of all: Lymans 49th Reloading Handbook. A few books on the history of guns (outdated now);
and
I have 2 big bookshelves filled with reference books from when I worked: handbooks for Chemical, Mechanical, Process Control, Process Measurement, about six books on mathematics, well, the list goes on and on, about 100 of that sort in all.
I still have some equipment vendor catalogs.
Several books on programming.
Books on English Composition, Conjugation of English Verbs, Conjugation of French Verbs, Dictionaries in English/English, English/French, French/French, French/English, and quite a few others of that sort.
I’m not much on fiction, I’ll read it from the library but seldom put money into those. I do have a few which were written by writers I know.
However, I have some of the classics (those books that no one wants to read but wish they had). Some I’ve read all and some I’ve read at.
I have several Bibles, the Koran (or Qu’ran if you prefer), the Book of Mormon, and some books on religions.
I have books on history: Genghis Khan, Hannibal, Julius Caesar, Churchill’s History of the English Speaking Peoples, etc, about a dozen of those kind.
My collection of non-fiction books is about 300.
And I have back issues of National Geographics (some were damaged and lost) back to 1957, Smithsonian Magazines back to circa 1980, Scientific American back to Lord knows when.
Okay, I’m a pack-rat.
Want to hear about my collection of hex head machine screws? ;D

Apocalyptic,
No surprise. Being only 15 and a reader does not mean you’re behind the curve. I know many teenager boys who’s only interest is iPods, texting, and girls; now the interest in girls is a good thing.
I know teenagers who read and they are almost always ahead of their peers in both knowledge and maturity. Reading will put you way ahead in the world, whatever it might be that you read.
Reading non-fiction will teach you grammar, writing, and also educate you in things which matter, especially in subjects our schools like to ignore or gloss over.
An example: Amelia Earhart was attempting an Around-the World flight. She got lost, ran out of gas, went down somewhere in the Pacific, and no one knows what happened to her. Common knowledge, right? Yeah, right.
I was browsing the library and found a book about her (I forget the title) which 99.999 percent proved she was spying for the USA. She did get lost (just “accidentally” of course) and then really did get lost and went down, but that’s not all. The Japanese took her prisoner. Fred Noonan, her navigator, was executed, and she eventually died in a Japanese prison, probably of dysentery. Witnesses were found and it was also tacitly agreed to by a US Navy admiral.
This is not the story you will generally hear. This is not the only kind of thing you’ll learn by reading books found by browsing the library.

You get tired of hearing this; Lord knows I did at 15.
Many teenage sexual acts end up with a pregnant girl,
and there goes college down the drain, there goes the good jobs down the drain, while you scrub floors in Wal-Mart or hand out hamburgers at McDonalds to support a mother and child.
Even “safe” sex isn’t all that safe, if she does it with you then who else did she do it with?
And when she’s pregnant you might look like a better choice then him, so she says you’re the daddy, so you end up scrubbing floors or handing out hamburgers to support a mother and someone else’s child.
Your mom knows this and she’s looking out for your best interest.
Lordy, lordy, don’t you get tired of hearing this?

Brennon, Take it from someone who knows. Lay off the pot and reserve the drinking till later. Not trying to preach, just have seen to much bad in my life. Get into the Pot/Drug scene can wind up getting the charged with something that will prohibit you from EVER owning a fire arm.
I would hate to see that since you seem pretty pasionate about guns and survival with a willingness to learn.
Back on topic. Try these 2 books "One shot one kill" by Charles Sasser , and The art of War by Sun Tzu

I heard about that Art of War,where can I pick it up? Also, I'm scared to do anything more than smoke pot my brother was addicted to meth so I can't go any further than pot for fear of becoming a low life drug addict. Plus man I don't do stupid when im drunk or high I stay inside and watch tv and play video games. Plus It helps me sleep. Anyways back on topic I have The Anarchist Cookbook (I threw it away), Ragnars Big Book of Weapons, I'm planning on getting arm guides like improvised munitions ans stuff like that, I have The Zombie Survival Gude( remember you can't be to prepared), I have the Big Book of Home Remidies, A couple reloading books, a regular survival guide, and all three lord of the rings, the hobbit included i enjoyed the hobbit. The Dune Series, Live and Let Die (James Bond book) and a few sci fi books.

I had a friend that used to watch me when I was 5 after after kindergarten. He was 18 and had all kinds of college scholorships. I was at his house after school watching TV and he went into the other room to clean his .45. He had already been smoking alot of grass. I di not know what he was smoking till years later. He was excited about going hunting that weekend with his dad. A few min later I heard a bang. Scared to death I did not dare go into the room.
Later I found out it was ruled as an AD and not suicide. He was most likely complacent due to the pot. That is why in my opinion drinking/drugs/guns don't mix.
For the art of war, go to a used book store and if they don't have it, they can usually order it for you. I just had one ordered in hardback and got it for under 10 bucks.
